I am Andrea Palladino, a devoted individual with a heartfelt dedication to providing nurturing care and guidance to children.
I’m currently available as an au pair or temporary nanny 25 March -14 July & 15 August -15 September
Currently immersed in the worlds of Anthropology and Psychology at Durham University, I'm on a quest to understand what makes us tick and how we can create environments where everyone can thrive. In addition to my academic pursuits, I've spent two enriching years as a part-time nanny in Miami, where I've had the joy of caring for and guiding children through their formative years. Certified in CPR and first aid, and a previous Montessori student, therefore safety and holistic development are always at the forefront of my approach.
Having grown up as the oldest sister and cousin in my family, I've learned firsthand the importance of adaptability and fostering a sense of belonging. Fluent in both English and Spanish, I value the richness of cultural exchange and strive to create inclusive environments where every child feels seen and heard. This is inspired by the way I felt during my childhood having been brought up in a vast range of cultures, having an Argentinean father and Puerto Rican mother.
Whether we're exploring new adventures in the great outdoors or delving into the wonders of storytelling at home, I bring a blend of professionalism, warmth, and genuine care to every interaction.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me. I'm excited about the possibility of joining your family's journey and contributing to your children's growth and well-being.

As a nanny I like to engage children in diverse activities, fostering intellect and creativity:
1. Indoor Science Experiments: Simple experiments for curiosity and understanding.
2. Art and Craft Projects: Painting and crafting for self-expression and fine motor skills.
3. Reading and Storytelling: Stories for imagination, language skills, and love for literature.
4. Indoor Obstacle Courses: Dynamic activities for physical coordination and problem-solving.
5. Board Games and Puzzles: Challenges for cognitive abilities, strategic thinking, and social skills.
6. Outdoor Nature Exploration: Identifying plants and animals for a sense of wonder.
7. Cooking and Baking: Activities for math skills, following instructions, and a love for food.
8. Educational Scavenger Hunts: Themes for playful learning.
9. Music and Dance Sessions: Introducing genres and encouraging self-expression. I aim to provide a well-rounded, enriching experience for children, supporting their intellectual and creative growth.
For me the most crucial aspect of being a nanny is creating a joyful and supportive environment for the children. I prioritize ensuring their needs are heard and met, fostering open communication. Building strong connections with both the kids and the family is key, taking the time to understand their unique personalities and preferences. By making every moment enjoyable, I aim to create lasting memories for the children and contribute to their overall growth. Witnessing their development is not just a responsibility but a source of genuine fulfillment, making the nanny-child relationship a meaningful and enriching experience for everyone involved.
FUN FACT: I love doggies and all animals so much as well so I have no problem with helping take care of your pets. This is me with my doggy Maui when he was just a baby
